   The Hotchkiss factory in France began to produce H35 light cavalry tanks in 1935. Later, the improved H38/39 was slightly larger than the H35, because it was changed to a larger horsepower 120hp engine and the weight was increased to 12 tons. The H38 artillery still The original H35 37mm SA18 (21-caliber) short-barreled gun was used, but the H38 produced later was replaced with a long-barreled SA38 (33-caliber) gun, named H39. H38/39 broke out in World War II In the early days, more than 800 vehicles served in the first-line troops. After the German army occupied France, due to its rapid expansion, it needed a large amount of equipment for the troops to use, and had to draw materials from the occupying countries. Therefore, many H series tanks were incorporated into the German troops. , But the German army had some opinions on the original H-series French design, and made other modifications to suit its own use, such as installing radios and new-style control towers.
